ORLANDO - Jack Ensell rode a brilliant pitching performance in the Sunshine State Conference opener against Nova Southeastern to win SSC Pitcher of the Week.

Taking the mound in the opener, Ensell went six scoreless innings in the 2-0 win over the Sharks, allowing two hits and two walks, and struck out 14. His game score was 80 and his 14 strike outs are fourth-most in school history and most per inning in a game (2.33 strikeouts per inning).

The award is the first of the season and the first of his career.

The Bucs (11-3, 2-1 SSC) hit the road for the first time this season, visiting the Eagles of Embry-Riddle (3-7, 1-2 SSC) this weekend.
