CHICAGO, Ill.— It was deja vu for the Barry Men's Volleyball team who fell for the second straight night against Roosevelt in the exact same manner. The Bucs went up first and grabbed the first set, but ultimately fell in the next four.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - The Buccaneers had back to back errors before Aaron Martinez was able to put one down for their first point of the match. After trailing by as much as four at 15-11, Barry was able to turn it around with a 9-2 rally to flip the scoreboard for the first time. Jacob Strnisa put away the final point for the set win and match lead. The Bucs hit .286 iwith 10 kills and had three and a half blocks. | Barry 25, Roosevelt 21
- Set Two - Barry kept the momentum with the first point of the set, as Jeremy Ferreira and Strnisa both teamed up for the block. However, Roosevelt was able to take the lead and hold it through the rest of the set. It was tied three times at a 10, 11, and 14, but the Lakers took the set and tied up the match. The offense struggled with just seven kills and a .174 hitting percentage. | Roosevelt 25, Barry 17
- Set Three - It was a battle from behind to open the set, Barry claimed their first lead at 5-4. It was a back and forth affair, down to the wire. After 19-19, the Lakers were able to take the advantage point and hold out to take the match lead. Martinez had a big impact on the set offensively with five kills hitting .444. It was a match high set for Barry with 15 kills and hitting .355. | Roosevelt 25, Barry 22
- Set Four - A service error quickly put the Bucs in the driver's seat first. The set saw 14 ties and five lead changes. Martinez once again came through with a kill to make it 19-19, but back to back kills for Roosevelt would be the difference maker in the end. | Roosevelt 25, Barry 21
NOTEWORTHY:
- Three Buccaneers were in double figures for kills.
- Jacob Strnisa led the team with 13 kills.
- Zachary Jabr and Martinez also had double digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively.
- This is a new career-high for Aaron Martinez in kills.
- Bobby Clapp led the back row with 10 digs.
- Tristan Blake had 30 assists.
- Jabr and Ferreira both have five block assists in the match, tied for a 10th most in a four set match in program history.
- Statistically Barry led blocks 9-5.
