MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men's basketball team announced the addition of Tarrance Warren to the roster for the 2025-26 season.
"Tarrance brings a winning pedigree to Miami Shores," head coach Justin Furr said. "He was an integral part of an Eastern Arizona program that won 55 games over the past two seasons and played for one of the best junior college coaches in the country, Cameron Turner. He scores the ball at all three levels and his ability to guard multiple positions will allow us to have options defensively. We welcome Tarrance and his mother, Shante, to the BarryU Family."
A 6-2 guard, Warren spent the last two seasons playing for Eastern Arizona College. From the moment he stepped on campus he made an impact, earning the primary starter role his freshman year, started 29 out of 33 games played at the point. Warren also proved to be a great shooter, hitting 45.8 percent from the field, 37 percent from behind the arc and 85.7 percent from the free throw line, while averaging 12 points per game. Eastern Arizona went 26-7 while Warren was named ACCAC Freshman of the year, All- ACCAC First Team, and All-Region First Team.
Warren's sophomore season saw his role change very slightly. He played similar minutes, despite starting in fewer games, and putting up similar numbers on better splits. His shooting efficiency increased across the board, and he again averaged 12 points per game. Warren bumped up his assist numbers as well, averaging 2.7 per a game. He earned All-ACCAC and All-Region Second-Teams while the Gila Monsters went 29-4 and made the West District Championship Final.
"I chose Barry because I believe in Coach Furr's vision for me and the program," Warren said. "I was looking for a place where I could grow as a person and player and believe I have found that at Barry. I look forward to doing anything needed to help the team win."
The Buccaneers are coming off a 12-17 season and a Sunshine State Conference Tournament appearance.
