MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — Barry closed out their inaugural men's volleyball regular season with a win in four sets. The Saturday afternoon match-up saw the Bucs defeated Life in a tough fought battle at the Health and Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Life earned the first point of the set. Philip Tein than gave Barry their first lead with a service ace, making it 2-1. Things went back and forth for a while until at 10-10 tie. From there, Barry took an 8-0 run that started with two kills from William Phinizy. Life made a late run but fell short as Zachary Jabr closed the door on their threat. Barry hit .267 with their set high 13 kills and forced Life to a .034 hitting percentage and just eight kills. | Barry 25, Life 17
- Set Two - The Running Eagles took over the second set as they had 19 kills and hit .586 in the set. The Buccaneer defense struggled to keep the ball up on the attack. | Life 25, Barry 17
- Set Three - Barry scored the first point in the set taking advantage of a Running Eagle error. They then jumped out to a 4-1 lead with kills from Ryan Uridel and Jabr as well as a service ace from Tein. The Bucs held the lead through and then went back and forth through the middle of the set. Barry was down to set point at 23-24 and back to back service errors kept them in the match. After being down 25-26, The Bucs rallied three straight points with two big blocks from Phinizy, Uridel, and Jabr. | Barry 28, Life 26
- Set Four - In a turn of events, Life started the set with a 4-2 lead. Both teams teetered the lead all the way through. Not team had control of the set and could get momentum. It once again was forced into deuce with Life scoring on Barry's match point to extend it. Kills from Jabr and Tein closed out the match. | Barry 27, Life 25
NOTEWORTHY:
- Zachary Jabr tied his career-high in kills with 14, going back-to-back.
- Barry led in blocks 12-5, while Life led in all other categories.
- Elias Fuhrer was right behind with eight kills and three blocks, while hitting .667.
- Bobby Clapp led in digs with 11.
- Tristan Blake had 34 assists and seven digs.
- Ryan Uridel had seven kills and seven blocks.
