ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Barry concluded their inaugural men's volleyball season with a first round exit at the IVA Tournament held in St. Louis, Missouri. The Bucs dropped in three sets to host and no. 2 seed, Maryville University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Maryville took advantage of being at home opening the match on a 6-1 run over the Bucs. This set an early tone for them that Barry was unable to bounce back from. The Buccaneers struggled to put two points together back to back. The Saint had12 kills, with one attacking error, hitting .579 in the first set. | Maryville 25, Barry 11
- Set Two - Barry flipped a switch at the start of set two opening up with the first three points for the early lead. Ryan Uridel and Philip Tein picked up the first two kills, then Uridel and Colton Beres had a big block. The Bucs held a 7-3 lead after a Beres service ace. This was the turning point however as the Saints rallied back to tie it up at seven all. It was then all Maryville as they took off for a 17-9 run to close out the set and take a 2-0 match lead. - Set Three - Maryville used that momentum in the third set as it was quickly a 10-5 advantage in their favor. Barry rallied four straight points taking advantage of two Saint errors to make it 9-10. A 5-2 run gave them the space they needed to run off with the set and the match to advance in the tournament. | Maryville 25, Barry 17
NOTEWORTHY:
