ORLANDO -- Barry freshman keeper Marlen Hernandez was one of 34 players named to All-Sunshine State Conference for women's soccer by a vote of the league coaches.

The rookie from Austin, Texas, played in 18 matches, making 17 starts for the Buccaneers who advanced to the SSC Tournament for the first time since 2022. She was named to the Second-Team after posting a 1.08 goals against average. She led the conference with 92 saves and was second in with a 0.829 save percentage. She compiled eight solo clean sheets, which was also second in the league, and played at least 77 minutes in three shared shutouts.

Her 92 saves are the second-most ever in program history. Her 5.11 saves per game is the sixth-most for a keeper with more than 10 matches.

The Buccaneers set NCAA Division II record this season for draws (9), scoreless draws (8) and consecutive scoreless draws (5).
