LAKELAND, Fla. – The Barry Men's Cross Country teams traveled to Holloway Park for the 2025 Sunshine State Conference championship race on Saturday morning. The Bucs finished seventh out of 10 teams and had six personal best times at the race.

NOTEWORTHY:
MEN:
- Landon Debbas has been the top finisher for the Buccaneers in four of the five races this season.
- Debbas dropped nearly 30-seconds from his career best. It was the third time he ran a sub-28 in the 8K. It is also the fastest 8K time since the program returned in 2023.
- Gillispie joined Debbas in the sub-28 category with a personal best time, dropping 42 seconds.
- Ardens Homidas had the biggest time difference from last season SSC meet to this year, as he ran four minutes faster for his first sub-30 at 29:27.1.
- Stumpf shaved off a minute from his time last year at the same meet and 49 seconds from his personal best overall.
- Davis hit a season best time at the meet.
- James Alexander ran a season best 30:01.4 dropping 12 seconds.
- Manny Garcia shaved 49 seconds off his time from last year and hit a personal best dropping 12-seconds for a time of 31:03.
- Khaleb White ran his first 8K of the season and hit a 32:01.6 mark.
- Oliver Balderas ran his first 8K race as a Buccaneer and clocked in a 31:21.0 time.
