MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men's and women's Cross Country teams will see familiar competition this fall for the programs fourth year as Dr. Kevin Padin has released the 2026 Barry University schedule.
"This team has made tremendous strides both physically and mentally, and it's rewarding to watch their growth." Padin Said "Although we're just beginning our fourth season together, the foundation continues to strengthen. Their competitive mindset is developing, and the commitment they've shown is putting them in position for success."
For the second season in a row the Buccaneers will open up at the Flagship XC Invitationals, hosted by Keiser, on Friday, Sept. 4th at South County Regional Park at in Boca Raton, Fla. It is the third time running at the Flagship, having participated in the 2023 and 2025 run.
The Bucs travel across town for the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by St. Thomas, on Friday, Sept. 11, running the course at the STU Athletic Fields in Miami Gardens. It will mark the second time the Bucs have run in town.
The Bucs also return to the Ava Maria Invitational on Friday, Oct. 9 at North Park in Ave Maria, Fla. They previously raced in the 2023 and 2025 edition.
The Bucs will then race at the Ed Holloway XC Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla., at Holloway Park on Friday, Oct. 16.
Barry runs the Sunshine State Conference Championship race on Nov. 11 at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Fla. The men are looking to improve on their seventh-place finish from a year ago, while the women also came in seventh.
The South Regional meet occur at John Hunt Park on Saturday, Nov. 21 with the qualifying teams advancing to the National Championship at Rim Rock in Lawrence, Kan., on Dec. 4.
