MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — The hype continues for the Barry Men's Volleyball team as they earn their first sweep for the program. The Bucs took down Barton College in straight sets to pick up their second victory in history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - Barry jumped out to an early 7-3 lead, scoring four straight. The lead expanded to as large as eight in the set. Barton tried to rally back, fending off five straight set points. Colton Beres called the set to an end with his ninth kill. | Barry 25, Barton 23
- Set Two - This set was close from the beginning, as Philip Tein got it going with the first point. After facing set point, the Bucs rallied together three straight points to reclaim the set and take a 2-0 match lead. Three straight errors by the Bulldogs would cost them the set. | Barry 26, Barton 24
- Set Three - Another Bulldog error started the set. Tein and Chris Rivero the closed out back to back kills and forced and early timeout for Barton with a 3-0 lead. After a 6-6 tie, a 4-0 run with two service aces from Colton Beres flipped momentum back to the Bucs. After being down 16-14, Barry outscored Barton 11-4 to close out the match. Eight straight pint sealed the deal with three straight blocks for the Buccaneers. | Barry 25, Barton 20
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Barry defense turned it up a notch with 10 blocks, while also holding the Bulldogs to two sets under double-digit kills.
- Two Bucs saw double digit kills with Beres leading the way with 14, and Tein right behind with 10.
- Tristan Blake set a new high with 35 assists, three more than in his debut.
- Ryan Uridel led the defense with eight blocks.
- Bobby Clapp and Chris Rivero each had nine digs to anchor the back row.
- Barry led in points (54.5-46), kills (37-28), assists (37-22), and digs (44-31).
