MIAMI SHORES Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers men's golf team got off to an outstanding start on day one of The Battle at the Shores. The Bucs sit in first place at -16, leading by six strokes. AJ Ewart sits tied for first place at -9. Santiago Chamorro and Felipe Alvarez sit tied for third at -4. 

NOTEWORTHY:

• The Bucs scored a record low in total score in round two (263). 
• AJ Ewart had a career low round at 62 (-8). 
• Santiago Chamorro also recorded a career low round at 63 (-7).
