MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University baseball team drubbed the Adelphi Panthers 17-1, tying the mark for the biggest win of the year, at Feinbloom Field on Saturday night.

- B5: Barry loaded the bases on an error, a single by Steven Nitch and a walk to Braden Forchic. Sanchez drove in Delgado with a single to right and Nitch scored on a fly out. | Barry 9, Adelphi 1
- B7: In the seventh, Forchic scored on a fly out after walking. Noriega drove in a pair with a double to right center and came home when Ogden followed with a double of his own. | Barry 13, Adelphi 1
- B8: The Bucs pushed across four more runs in the eighth, with the help of three Panther errors and a balk. Forchic singled up the middle and Freddy Rodriguez reached on a swinging bunt. Danny Garcia reached on a fielding error by Ryan De La Rosa, who then threw the ball away at first, allowing Forchic to score. Rodriguez scored on a balk and Jarrett May hit a two-run pinch-hit homer. | Barry 17, Adelphi 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- Mike Reagan (4-0) picked up his fourth win. He allowed an unearned run on five hits and a walk and struck out six in 6.2 innings.
- Colin McLaughlin tossed the final 2.1 innings, allowing just one walk.
- Carlos Acosta (0-1) was hung with the loss after allowing seven runs on four hits, including a double and two homers, and five walks in three innings. It was his first appearance of the year.
- Sanchez went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Barry at the plate.
- Noriega was 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Stella drove in three.
- The 16-run win tied the mark set in the season opener against Lane (16-0) for the biggest margin of victory on the year. But the last time the Bucs won by more runs was a 23-6 win over Tuskegee on Feb. 18, 2017.
- The game is also the second-largest margin for the Bucs over Adelphi, having beaten the Panthers 23-2 on Mar. 12, 2014.
