AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneers men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Ave Maria Invitational on Saturday morning at North park. The men and women both placed fourth, the men led by David Bellefleur (2nd) and the women led by Gabrilla Kinsey (9th). Both teams had their highest finishes of the season.
The men's 8K race consisted of a field of eight teams and 82 runners, while the women's 5K race consisted of nine teams and 88 runners.

- Bellefleur and Gillispie both finished in the top-ten, first time a Buc has finished in the top-ten this year.

- Lady Bucs had their highest finish of the year.

The Bucs will travel to Lakeland, Fla., to participate in the SSC Championships at Holloway Park. The meet will be on Saturday, Oct. 21.
