DEARBORN, Mich.-- The top-ranked Barry Buccaneers held on to their place and advanced to the match-play finals at the 2022 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday at TPC Michigan.
The Bucs battled some pretty intense weather over the last round, and came through it better than most, holding on to their fifth place, finishing in a tie with Missouri-St. Louis.
The 18th-ranked Central Missouri Mules claimed the team title at +26, moving up two spots on the final day. The big movers were Lee, Missouri-St. Louis and Georgia Southwestern, who all played themselves into the match-play field, moving up eight, six and two spots respectively, taking the places of Midwestern State, Florida Southern and Indianapolis who dropped out. The Greyhounds had the most precipitious fall, starting the day in first place only to shoot a +19 and fall all the way to ninth.
