MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Barry junior keeper Emily Parrott was named the Sunshine State Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week for the period of Oct. 24-30.

Parrott earned Defensive Player of the Week following her clean sheet against Rollins. The Frisco, Texas product faced seven shots and saved all six on goal while earning a victory as Barry bested Rollins on the road, 1-0. With the play of Parrott, Barry claims the No. 5 seed in the SSC postseason season tournament.

The Buccaneers take on the Florida Tech Panthers in the SSC Tournament quarterfinals tonight at Stottler Field. The Bucs beat the Panthers 1-0 in The Shores on Sept. 10. The winner advances to play the top-seeded Florida Southern Moccasins on Thursday, Nov. 3.
