SEASIDE, Ca. -- The Barry Buccaneers men's golf team got off to a great start on day one of the Otter Invitational, as they are in first place after two rounds of play at the Bayonet Blackhorse GC. The Bucs scored -7 (290-279--569). 

NOTEWORTHY:

• The Bucs were the only team to score under par (-7). 
• Three Bucs are in the top ten. Nicolas Quintero is in second (-7), Santiago Chamorro is tied for sixth (-1) and Felipe Alvarez is tied for eighth (E). 
• Barry led in Par-3 scoring (+3).
• Barry led in Par-5 scoring, scoring an outstanding -22. 
• Barry recorded two eagles, one by Chamorro, and one by Amani D'Ambrosio.

The Bucs will play the final round tomorrow Oct. 18.
