MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneers host the Saint Leo Lions this Saturday at Feinbloom Field in a Sunshine State Conference baseball doubleheader.
The Bucs are 13-10 on the season heading into the weekend and second in the conference at 11-7. The Lions are 8-16 overall and 7-15 in the SSC.

HONORING THE SENIORS
#1 Willie Escala
A starter in all 43 games over the last two seasons since transferring from Miami, he has scored 41 runs, driven in 18 and stolen 27 bases in 32 attempts. He has also posted a .955 fielding percentage, helping turn 21 double plays. He is a sport management major.
#2 JC Garcia
A starter in 71 of 72 games played, Garcia scored 58 runs and stole 20 bases in his Buccaneer career. Batting .292 in 271 at-bats, he added five homers and 37 RBI. He's started at second, short and third in his three seasons with the Bucs. He is a sport management major.
#6 Arrison Perez
A former starter at second and third base, transformed into one of the top starting pitchers in the conference. A .252 hitter, with five homers, 48 runs and 39 RBI in 262 at bats, he has posted a 5-3 record with a 3.68 ERA and only 10 walks in 51.1 innings from the mound. He is also a sport management major.
#8 Mason Kemp
A four-year letterman, he is 1-1 with a 6.20 ERA, having worked mostly out of the pen. He struck out 13 in 20.1 innings, holding opponents to a .276 average. His win came in a start against Bloomfield last spring. His majoring in business management.
#10 Michael Fernandez
A two-year letterman after transferring from Virginia Tech, he has played in 18 games, making 11 starts, mostly at designate hitter, over the last two years. He has hit .205 with one homer and eight RBI. A pre-law major.
#13 Angel Almonte
An integral part of the Buccaneers' bullpen since transferring from Hillsborough CC, Almonte appeared in 43 games, with a 3-0 record and 6.14 ERA. He struck out 52 in 58.2 innings and walked just 24. Already in possession of his degree in business, he is working on his MBA.
#15 Blake Brito
A starter in 29 of 32 games played, Brito has scored 17 runs and drive in 16 in 94 at-bats over the last two seasons. He's also been one of the best defensive catchers in the league, throwing out 11 baserunners and posting a .984 fielding percentage.
#17 Ben Terwilliger
One of the best back-end of the bullpen guys ever to wear the Red-&-Black, he is 1-0 with four saves and a 1.23 ERA in 13 appearances over the last two years, since transferring from Maine. In 14.2 innings, he's struck out 27 and walked just three, while allowing just four hits. He is a business major.
#19 Andrew Rapoza
A rare five-year letterman for the Bucs, Rapoza has played in 178 games in his career, starting 171. A career .338 hitter, he has started in leftfield, centerfield, at first base and DH during his career. He has scored 144 runs, while driving in 109. Slugging .454 with 32 doubles and 14 homers, he is also tied for 7th in school history with 51 stolen bases. He is graduating with a degree in education.
#21 Richie Sobalvarro
A starter since his freshman year, he has 113 starts in 129 games played. A .321 hitter with 78 runs scored and 71 driven in, he also ranks in the top-10 in double plays turned and putouts defensively. He is graduating with a degree in exercise physiology.
#22 Joel Alvarez
A versatile infielder, he has started 59 out of 90 career games, batting .249 with 42 runs and 22 RBI. He posted a .398 on-base percentage and stole 9 of 13 bases. He is a sport management major.
#24 Ariel Diaz
A dynamic player who showed outstanding tools around the diamond, Diaz started 58 of 74 games played with a .315 batting average, nine homers and 53 RBI in 232 at-bats. He also scored 42 runs and stole 17 of 25 bases. He is majoring in business.
#27 Derek Smolenski
Having started 38 of 54 games played in all three outfield slots and designated hitter, he has a .268 batting average, 27 runs scored and 21 RBI. Enjoying his best season, he has a .359 average, two homers and 10 RBI. He is a double major in sport management and business administration.
#32 Austin Genao
An effective worker out of the bullpen over the last two seasons, he is 1-0 with one saves and a 2.30 ERA in nine appearances. He's held opponents to a .186 average, striking out 11 in 15.2 innings. He has earned his degree in accounting.
#42 Noah Stern
A lefty out of the pen, Stern has one save in eight appearances and hasn't allowed a run since his first year. A two-time president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he has graduated with a degree in sport management.
