MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry and Lynn have a common theme entering Wednesday night's 7:30 p.m. game in Boca Raton.

Both have 26 wins against each other in the overall series.

That will change at the de Hoernle Center when the No. 7-ranked Buccaneers (17-2, 10-2 Sunshine State Conference) meet the Fighting Knights (10-9, 5-6) in a game carried on the Fighting Knights Network. It is a venue where the Bucs have won 11 straight games, including neutral site games at Lynn's pre-Christmas tournament, dating back to Dec. 18, 2011 when they fell to Queens (N.C.).

Barry and Lynn waged through a physical game in the first meeting in Miami Shores this season. A total of 42 fouls were called in that game -- 21 apiece. One player fouled out, three others were issued a combined four technicals, and 47 free throws were shot between the two teams. Barry won that game, 94-68.

But despite a recent four-game losing skid, the Fighting Knights have proven they can play with top-level competition. They knocked off then-No. 19 Tampa in overtime in mid-January and then-No. 9 Drury in December. Lynn is 8-3 at home this season. The Fighting Knights have four players averaging in double figures on a team that is shooting 41.9 percent from the floor.

The Fighting Knights have shown a razor thin margin for error. On four occasions they've been involved in games decided by two points or less, including two of the past four. They've had six games decided by five points or fewer. Lynn is outscoring its opponents by a season average of 0.4 points per game. Meanwhile Barry leads the conference in scoring margin at 13.5 per game.

Prior to the first game between the two schools this season, four of Barry's past six wins against the Fighting Knights have been decided by eight points or less. That begs the question: where is Wednesday's game headed?
