MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry baseball fell in a 10-inning battle with local rival Palm Beach Atlantic 6-5, Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers suffered the loss in a drawn-out game that they took the lead in early with two runs in the 1st from
Ryan Baldwin's 10th home run of the year to left field.Â
PBA scored in three straight innings from the 5th-7th to take a 5-2 lead. Barry answered with three runs from an Alfreddi Ramos home run to right field (6) and an
Alexander DeGoti RBI sac fly and
Kyle Pangallo scoring on a wild pitch.Â
Neither team scored after nine innings and in the 10th, PBA scored on a wild pitch to go up a run. The Bucs could not answer in the bottom of the inning and would fall in their final midweek game of the regular season.
PBA closer Dominic Monda earned the win to improve to 6-1 in a 1.2 IP, two run perfromance. Barry closer
Lance Elder goes to 1-3 with a 2.0 IP, three strikeout outing.
The Bucs stand at 19-18 on the season, while PBA improves to 18-21.Â
Up next for the Bucs is a trip to Saint Leo to take on the Lions in a three game series beginning on Friday at 6 PM.Â
