MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Barry baseball had been looking to bounce back after suffering five consecutive losses and did so thoroughly as they defeated Florida Memorial 8-2, Tuesday night.
The Buccaneers garnered eight hits off seven different batters with catcher
Ramon Valdez leading on the night with two. Four Bucs has RBI in the game, including
Jonathan Quintana's homerun in the eighth.
On the mound, starter
Jonathan Hernandez struck out three in 7.0 IP in his fourth win of the season while reliever
Andy Rohloff got three strikeouts on the night.
The Bucs improve to 15-16 on the season while FMU's record stands at 7-31.
Up next for the Bucs is a special Thursday/Friday series with SSC foe Florida Tech with first pitch slated for 6 pm on April 2.
