MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The first Friday night game of the season for Barry baseball was one to forget as they were soundly defeated by Palm Beach Atlantic, 12-0.
The Bucs were outhit 15-6 and were held scoreless by Sailfish pitchers Josh Turner and David Paul. The PBA pitchers combined for nine strikeouts.

Adrian Benitez struck out three in five innings pitched but allowed 10 hits and eight runs. Relief pitcher
Nate Greve struck out two in four innings pitched but also had trouble tonight as he allowed five hits and four runs.
At the plate, Barry players
L.K. Thompson V and
Ramon Valdez had some levels of success and accounted for the majority of the Bucs' hits tonight. Thompson had two doubles, while Valdez had a double and a single.
Tomorrow, the Bucs look to get back into the swing of things as they take on Palm Beach Atlantic in a doubleheader with the first pitch at 1 pm.Â
