MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University hosts rival Nova Southeastern 7 p.m. Tuesday in an important volleyball match to begin the second half of Sunshine State Conference play.

The Buccaneers (10-7, 5-3 SSC) lost to the Sharks (14-8, 5-4) in the first meeting this year in Davie, Florida. Barry has found itself of late, and will try to maintain its third place position in the league standings. Barry's loss to Nova in the first meeting was a five-set setback in which the Bucs dropped the last two sets, including a 15-13 thriller in the decisive set.

A win over the Sharks would mark Barry's first since Oct. 7 of last year. The Bucs have dropped the last two in the rivalry. Barry owns the series record 25-5, which includes a 12-1 record at the Health & Sports Center. 

A victory would also match the season-long win streak for the Buccaneers, who twice this season have won three in a row. Barry has won its last two.
