Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MIAMI SHORES – The Barry University men's and women's tennis teams each recorded victories earlier today over Vanguard University, with the women winning 5-3 and the men 8-1.

In women's action the Bucs (11-4) fell behind early, as they dropped two of three doubles matches. The Bucs only win came at the number one spot when Natascha Loebnitz and Maria Lopez teamed up to knock off Vanguard's Olga Hlushuchanka and Amy Brown 8-6.

The Bucs then turned it up in singles action taking four of the five matches. Loebnitz and Hlushuchanka were again competing at the number one spot but did not finish and the Bucs went on to win the two through five spots, securing the 5-3 victory.

On the men's side, the sixth-ranked Bucs (13-1) made quick work of visiting Vanguard. Barry jumped out in front from the start, winning the number one and number three doubles and then completed the sweep in singles competition to pick up their 13th win of the season.

Sebastian Losavio set the pace for the Bucs by winning in the top flight 6-2, 6-2 over Lars Dahlberg, while Thomas Hipp cleaned up at number two rolling over Dieter Weisimair 6-1, 6-2. Gerold Wiring, Filip Norman, Victor Rodriguez and Alexander Praderas rounded out the Bucs lineup.

The women return to action tomorrow as they face off against visiting Florida Southern at 3:00 pm, while the men will have a day off before meeting up with the Mocs on Saturday at 10:00 am.
