HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barry opened the match with strong momentum, securing wins in the bottom two doubles flights to clinch the doubles point and take an early 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
- On court four, Brun extended the advantage with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory over No. 74 Couto, putting Barry ahead 2-0.
- Keiser responded on court five, as Aveiro defeated Sperb 6-0, 6-4 to get the Seahawks on the board.
- The momentum continued to swing in Keiser's favor when Apisah battled past Anger in a three-set match on court two, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1, evening the match at 2-2.
- On court one, Lutringer jumped out to a strong start against No. 17 Melnikova, taking the first set 6-3. However, Melnikova rallied to claim the second set 6-4 and dominated the deciding set 6-1 to give Keiser its first lead of the match.
- The Seahawks sealed the victory on court six, where Grydnieve defeated Whalen in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.2.
- With the match clinched for Keiser the final match on court three between Nikolova and Sahnis was left Unifinished.
NOTEWORTHY:
