Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The short-handed Barry Buccaneers could not overcome the full strength Texas-El Paso Miners, losing 5-0 at the Buccaneer Tennis Center today.

Playing the NCAA Division I scoring system (which awards one point for the three doubles matches), the Bucs only managed a win at number two doubles when Greta Trotman and Carole Steinhauser knocked off Adriana Boykova and Gilat Barzilai 8-2.

The Miners claimed the top doubles 8-1, with Martina Rezar and Katherine Palider defeating Natascha Loebnitz and Maria Lopez, and the number three by default to win the doubles point.

The Miners swept the top three singles spots and claimed a default at number six.

The Bucs return to action on Tuesday, March 16, hosting the NCAA Division I UMass Minutemen.
