Box Score GARDEN CITY, NY. – The Barry University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Bryant College Bulldogs in their final game up north at Adelphi University.
The Bucs (0-2-0) got on the board first when Candice DeFreitas found herself in perfect position to drive home a rebound off an initial shot by Bucs' forward
Emelie Karlsson at the 48:06 mark. But it was all Bryant (1-0-1) the rest of the way as they responded with back-to-back goals that were separated by just 1:15.
Once again the Bucs out shot their opponents 9-7, but Bryant keeper Kim Rekart picked up her first win of the season recording six saves.
Johanna Fischer suffered her second loss of the season in net for the Bucs making two saves.
The Bucs return to action on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. when they host UC-Davis in the opening round of the Nike Classic Tournament.
