Box Score DAVIE, Fla.--The Barry baseball team dropped a 5-1 non-conference tilt to the Nova Southeastern Knights 5-1 on the road Tuesday night.
The Bucs scored first on a single by
Cesar Aranguren which knocked in
Alex Meneses in the third inning.
But Nova bounced back with an unearned run in the fourth inning when Sean McFadden scored on a error.
The the Knights added three in the fifth and another in the sixth for the final score.
Umiversity of Miami transfer Vince Vazquez (3-3) evened his record with the complete game. He allowed seven hits, an unearned run and one walk while striking out seven.
David Schmidt (0-2) dropped his second straight start to the Knights. He went 4.1 innngs, allowing five hits and four walks, leading to four runs (one earned).
Barry drops to 12-19, while improves to 18-12.
