Box Score DAVIE, Fla.--The second-ranked Barry Buccaneers spiked the Nova Southeastern Knights 3-0 at at the University School Gymnasium on NSU's main campus Tuesday night.
The Bucs took the three games 30-17, 30-12, 30-10.
The Bucs hammered out a .381 hitting percentage, while holding the Knights to -.149 percentage. The Knights hit negative numbers in all three games.
The Bucs dominated each game. The first game last only 20 minutes as Barry hammered out 14 kills and Nova made eight errors. In game two with barry up 10-5, Fernando Brino provided the big spark by serving out seven straight points to give Barry a 17-5 lead as they coasted in 30-12.
In game three, Barry pounded out 16 kills and a .520 attack percentage, while Nova committed 10 errors.
Jentry Redinger led the balanced Bucs' attack with 11 kills, while
Sarah Alexander had six kills in seven swings for an .857 attack percentage. Kristy Hartley led the Knights with four kills and was only one of two players to hit positve percentage.
Barry improves to 17-2, while Nova falls to 9-16. The Bucs are back in Sunshine State Conference play tomorrow at Lynn.
