Women's Tennis Trounces Timberwolves

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University women's tennis team swept all six singles matches en route to an 8-1 victory over the Northwood Timberwolves earlier this afternoon at the Buccaneer Tennis Complex.

After dropping the number one doubles, both Victoria Courmes and Maria Lopez bounced back to win their singles matches. Gizella Turbok finished ahead of her teammates after her opponent, Lisa Neugebauer, retired with a pulled quad. Valeria Papandrea led the Bucs defeating Sara Smith 6-2, 6-2.

With the win, the Buccaneers improve to 13-3 overall on the season. It marked the 13th consecutive victory for the Bucs this season.
