Box Score On Sunday, the No. 1-ranked Buccaneers defeated No. 2 ranked North Florida 4-2 in a battle of unbeatens. The win extended the Bucs record of consecutive wins in a season to 15.
Junior forward
Ashley Snell scored two goals, including the game-winner to lead the Buccaneers to the victory.
Barry trailed 1-0 at the half, but battled back to score four second half goals against North Florida, who had given up just two goals all season.
Sophomore midfielder
Pamela McDonald tied the game 1-1 at the 46:22 mark on an assist from
Lauren Ruda, but North Florida took the lead again 2-1 at 62:05.Â
Snell scored the first of her two goals on a penalty kick at 69:02 to tie the game 2-2. She then scored the game-winner a minute and 29 seconds later on an assist from
Colleen Gramlich at 70:31. Ruda then added an insurance goal at 86:07 on an assist from Kirsten Buteau and
Colleen Leonard.
Freshman keeper
Johanna Fischer recorded a season-high five saves in goal for the Bucs.
The Buccaneers host Eckerd College in their final regular season game of the year on Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
