While on the mound, recorded a 3.76 ERA, going 1-3 with 63 strikeouts in 55 innings ... Played his freshman year at Northwest Florida State College ... Earned All-Panhandle Conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Curry Harden at Hamilton Southeastern High ... Two-year letterman in baseball and three-year letterman in football ... Had a .350 batting average, five home runs, 10 doubles, 32 RBI and 15 stolen bases at the plate during senior season ... Performed well on the mound, going 6-1 with a 2.50 ERA ... Honorable Mention All-State in baseball ... First-Team All-State and All-Conference in football.
