HIGH SCHOOL: Played his high school career at Mater Academy in Hialeah Gardens before signing with Southeastern Louisiana in 2016. The sharp-shooter helped lead Mater and then head coach Corey Stephens to three straight district titles while becoming a member of the 1,000-point club. Mejia was a captain on the team his final two years and averaged 14 points, four rebounds and three assists. He was named second-team All-Dade County and the Miami-Dade North All-Star Game MVP.
