SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Fell to Florida Southern’s Ben Taylor in the first round of the ITA Regional during the fall … Played three matches in the sixth position … Posted a 3-0 record beating opponents from Saint Leo, Eckerd, and Brandeis … Went 1-0 in doubles with Marcello D’Armas.
FRESHMAN (2006-07): Posted a 6-1 singles record with a perfect 5-0 record in the sixth slot … Shut out Eckerd’s Alex Moxam in conference action.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played all four years at East Mecklenburg High under coach Jim Accord … Team captain all four years … Compiled a 21-1 record his senior season and only lost in the state tournament … Awarded MVP and All-Conference all four years … Received the NCHSAA State Participation Award for 2003, 2004, and 2005 … Was a 2005 semifinalist at the NC Junior State Closed … Ranked as high as 11 in North Carolina U-18 Juniors.
