MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Sunshine State Conference has announced the All-Conference Women's Outdoor Track awards for the 2026 season. Jahkya Miller was selected as Freshman of the Year, and Katie-Marie Sherlock was selected for the All-SSC Second Team for her individual event, while Abrianna Scott, Miller, Jaelynn Rosario, and Sherlock were selected for the All-SSC First Team for the 4x400 Relay. 

Miller earned Freshman of the Year honors after helping Barry capture the 4x400 relay title while also scoring points in the 100, 200, and 100 hurdles. She was also named Freshman of the Meet at the SSC Outdoor Track Championship. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native posted season-best marks in both the 100 and 100 hurdles, finishing sixth in each event with times of 12.15 and 15.28, respectively. The freshman also placed seventh in the 200 with a time of 25.30 and was part of Barry's sixth-place 4x100 relay squad that crossed the line in 48.34. Miller also holds the school record for the women's 400-meter hurdles (1:04.25) and the second fastest time in school history for the same event (1:06.22). This is the first time in program history that Barry has been awarded Freshman of the Year. 

Sherlock was selected to the All-SSC Second team in individual events for her performance in the 400-meter event. The Junior holds all of the top five fastest times in program history for the women's 400-meter, with her best time coming in at 55.56 seconds.

Scott, Miller, Rosario, and Sherlock, who were selected for the All-SSC First Team in the 4x400 relay, hold the school record in that event at 3:53.18. They were also the first 4x400 relay champions in Barry's program history. This is Barry's first time being selected for the All-SSC first team in program history.
