MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The No. 1-ranked Barry University men's tennis team has done it again with it's second win of the year against conference opponent No. 5 Saint Leo. The Bucs beat the Lions 4-1 in the finals of the NCAA South One Regional to punch their ticket to the programs 26th national championship. This win also keeps the Bucs perfect season intact with 22 straight win's for the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In doubles play, the No. 16-ranked tandem of Trione and Cavalleri earned a statement victory over the No. 2-ranked pair of Segovia and Kato, 6-3, giving the Buccaneers early momentum
- The No. 31-ranked duo of Cohen and Sarfati answered for the Lions with a 7-6(3) tiebreak win over Machado and Lynch, leaving the doubles point to be decided on the bottom flight.
- Kodjoed and Champuis delivered in the clutch for Barry, defeating Andrianaly and Buchard 7-6(3) to secure the doubles point and hand the Bucs a 1-0 advantage heading into singles competition.
- On court one, the No. 16-ranked Trione dominated No. 23-ranked Andrianaly in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, to extend Barry's lead.
- Machado followed with another statement performance on court four, upsetting the No. 39-ranked Kato 6-2, 6-2 to move the Buccaneers within one point of victory.
- The Lions then got on the board when No. 13-ranked Segovia defeated No. 2-ranked Kodjoed on court two 6-4, 6-3.
- Dillon sealed the match for Barry on court six with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Sarfati, avoiding a third-set tiebreak and clinching the 4-1 win for the Buccaneers.
NOTEWORTHY:
- This is Barry's 20th men's regional championship.
