SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The second-ranked and top-seeded Barry Buccaneers made short work of the Jefferson Rams 4-0 on Wednesday at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Club to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barry took the top two doubles flights in less than 30 minutes. Lynch and Machado won 6-0 in 19 minutes at number two, while Cavalleri and Trione clinched the point in 26 minutes at number one.
- Singles went nearly as quickly. Alleno made it 2-0 Barry ini just 47 minutes at number six, 6-1, 6-1 over Cizmarik.
- At number two, #33 Lynch dispatched Rabetrano 6-0, 6-1 in 49 minutes.
- Azoulay clinched the match 6-1, 6-3 over Slakovic at number five in 57 minutes.
- The remainder of the matches were left unfinished, with Barry up a set and up in the second.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry has won seven national championships, and have played for the title seven other times. The 14 trips to the championship match are the most in Division II history.
- Alleno improved to 8-0 on the season, the best undefeated record on the team.
- The Bucs advanced to the quarterfinals for the 20th time, and the second straight year.
- The win was the Bucs' 109th in NCAA post-season play, the most for any school in the division (West Florida is second with 78).
