WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – After taking a week off from league action, the Barry softball team was back out on the diamond against Sunshine State Conference foe, Palm Beach Atlantic, to kick off their final road series for the season. The Bucs fell in the series opener 4-2 to the Sailfish from the Rinker Athletic Complex.

SUMMARY:
- T1 – The Buccaneers scored first with two in the top half. Mya Tucker led the game off with a single to shallow left field. Serah Shafer then traded places and stole second and reached third on a wild pitch. With two-away, Sarah Langlie brought in Shafer with a base knock. Chandler Barry then extended the inning with a single to right center that brought home Langlie who moved into scoring position off a stolen base. | Barry 2, PBA 0

NOTEWORTHY:
- Five different Buccaneers collected a hit.
- Langlie and Tucker have each reached via a hit in four-straight.
- Tucker is riding a 16-game reached base safely streak.
- Shafer and Tucker become the first duo since Sarah Broeseker and Megan Copeland in 2013 to each have 60-plus hits in a single season.
