ORLANDO, Fla. – Barry University men's tennis earned its third Sunshine State Conference weekly honor of the 2026 season and its fourth for the 2025-26 season, as #1-ranked sophomore Yan Kodjoed was named the conference's weekly award recipient presented by Pollo Campero for the week of February 23–March 1. Trione received the recognition following his strong performance against the No. 11-ranked Florida Southern Mocs.
Trione set the tone early, teaming up with Simone Cavalleri to secure an upset doubles win over the No. 17-ranked team, 6-3. The No. 21-ranked Trione carried that momentum into singles, where he faced No. 6 Mario Garoz and delivered another impressive performance, earning a straight-sets victory, 6-4, 7-5. His efforts played a key role in the Bucs' dominant 7-0 sweep over the Mocs.
The Bucs will return to action on April. 15, where they will face Palm Beach Atlantic at home for their final conference match of the season.
