MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers softball split a twin bill against Kutztown on Monday at Buccaneers, dropping the first game 10-7, but rebounding to shutout the Bears 8-0 in the night cap.

• T2 - The Bears broke out on top in the second inning. Jamie Madera had an RBI single and Emily Henn followed with a three-run homer.  | Kutztown 4 Barry 0
• B2 - The Bucs responded with a five-run inning of their own, sending 10 batters to the plate. With two outs and a runner on first, Mia Lucey beat out an infield single, Shelby Prevatte was hit by a pitch and Cameron Marchese walked to force in a run. • B1 - Barry jumped on top early, as Tucker and Shafer both beat out infield singles and Langlie launched a three-run homer. Kiera Strub, Lucey and Prevatte had three straight singles for another run and two runs came across when Marchese ripped a single down the right-field line and the Bears' right fielder over-ran the ball and Marchese scampered all the way to third, clearing the bases. | Barry 6, Kutztown 0
• B4 - Vivian Billiard double to left center, scoring Shafer after another infield single. | Barry 7, Kutztown 0
• B5 - With two outs in the bottom of the fifth, Tucker walked it off with her second homer of the season. | Barry 8, Kutztown 0

NOTEWORTHY:

• Abbey Wagner (2-2) went seven innings, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and a walk for the win in game one.
• Alexis Martin (6-6) took the loss for the Bucs, allowing six runs on seven hits in 2.1 innings.
• Billiard (3-2) went the distance in game two, shutting out the Bears on three hits and two walks.
• Haley Gravish (5-2) took the loss for the Bears, giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits in 0.2 thirds of an inning.
• Four players had four hits in the twin bill for the Bucs, including Shafer, Strub, Langlie, and Tucker. 
• Langlie drove in five, while Tucker scored three.
