MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers softball split a twin bill against Kutztown on Monday at Buccaneers, dropping the first game 10-7, but rebounding to shutout the Bears 8-0 in the night cap.

Kiera Strub, Lucey and Prevatte had three straight singles for another run and two runs came across when Marchese ripped a single down the right-field line and the Bears' right fielder over-ran the ball and Marchese scampered all the way to third, clearing the bases. | Barry 6, Kutztown 0

NOTEWORTHY:
- Abbey Wagner (2-2) went seven innings, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and a walk for the win in game one.
- Alexis Martin (6-6) took the loss for the Bucs, allowing six runs on seven hits in 2.1 innings.
- Billiard (3-2) went the distance in game two, shutting out the Bears on three hits and two walks.
- Haley Gravish (5-2) took the loss for the Bears, giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits in 0.2 thirds of an inning.
- Four players had four hits in the twin bill for the Bucs, including Shafer, Strub, Langlie, and Tucker.Â
- Langlie drove in five, while Tucker scored three.
