ST. LEO, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 5-4 to the Saint Leo Lions on Friday night at Southard Stadium in the opening game of their Sunshine State Conference baseball series.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Parker Hohnstock (3-1) got the win, despite blowing the save in the ninth. He struck out four in 1.2 innings of relief.
- Perozzi allowed all three batters faced to reach in taking the loss.
- Smith led the Bucs at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI.
- DeBro had three hits for the Lions.
