MIAMI SHORES Fla. -- The number one ranked Bucs faced off in their first conference match of the season against the number 15th-ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles. The Bucs clinched the game on the final match to move their record to a 2-0 to start the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Rosellini and Mail defeated Trione and Cavalleri in the first doubles match 
  • Margado and Nuyts defeated Kodjoed and Chapuis in a close match to clinch the doubles point for Embry-Riddle  
  • Embry-Riddle took an early one nothing lead after winning all three doubles matches 
  • Barry tied the score with Machado's sweep in singles 
  • Margado took the lead back for Embry-Riddle beating out Dillon to make the score Embry-Riddle two Barry one 
  • Lynch tied the score up for the Bucs after winning his match 
  • Kodjoed put the Bucs in the lead 3-2 after his match 
  • Mail tied it once again after defeating Trione 
  • Chapuis clinched the game for the Bucs after his win against Lanteri to make the final score 4-3 

NOTEWORTHY:

  •  The Bucs are currently on a 12-match win streak against Embry-Riddle 
  • The Bucs have won a total of 24 matches and lost only two against Embry-Riddle

Next, the Bucs will head to Indianapolis to compete in the ITA Indoor Championship starting off the tournament against #8 UIndy on Friday, Feb. 13 until Sunday, Feb.15.
