Men's Tennis Defeats UIndy at Day One of ITA Indoor Championships

Indianapolis, IN. -- The top ranked Bucs started off the 2026 ITA Indoor Championships with a 4-0 win over the 17th ranked UIndy in Indianapolis, IN on Friday the 13th

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Barry took the doubles points winning both of the final matches 
  • In Singles, the #1 ranked Kodjoed gave the Bucs a 2-0 lead with his 6-2, 6-1 win against #21 Gaggiofatto 
  • Machado gave the bucs anaother point with a 6-4, 6-3 win against Matovic 
  • Lynch clinched the match for the Bucs, beating Darache 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 
  • With the match won for Barry the rest of the singles matches were retired 

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Bucs have defeated UIndy six times in total with only one loss under their belts 
  • the Bucs are currently on a 2 match win streak against UIndy 

ON THE HORIZON

After the Bucs win they will move on to the second day of the ITA Indoor Championship facing off against Washburn University Saturday the 14th.
