INDIANAPOLIS, IN. -- The top-ranked Barry Women's Tennis team played in the ITA Indoor Championship Semifinal today and defeated fifth-ranked University of West Alabama, moving the Bucs regular season streak up to six straight and pushing them into the finals of the ITA Indoor Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bucs took the doubles lead with Dema and Nikolova making quick work on court three.
- After dropping the top flight, Anger and Heimen clinched the doubles point in a deuce tie breaker 8-6.
- Barry started singles up 1-0
- Dema won her match first, with a straight set victory in her second set. This made the score 2-0 for Barry
- Michalitsch defeated Ibrahim after three sets, putting the Bucs one point away from clinching
- Heimen was defeated by Rivera 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, giving UWA their first and only point of the match
- Crespo clinched the match for Barry after losing the tie breaker 7-6(5) in the first set, but winning the final two sets 6-4, 7-5.
- She upset sixth ranked Milliam on the second flight.
- With the match clinched, the rest of the singles are left unfinished
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs are on a six-match win streak against UWA
- Barry is also on a 29 match winning streak, dating back to the 2025 season where they ended on a 23-match win streak.
