MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers clawed their way to a 13-12 win over the Wingate Bulldogs on Saturday night at Feinbloom Field.

NOTEWORTHY:
- The teams combined to use 12 pitchers in the game and the last ones for both teams figured in the decision.
- John Perozzi (1-0) got the win for the Bucs after getting the last four outs.
-  Charlie Carpenter (0-1) took the loss for the Bulldogs, giving up four runs, including Smith's homer, in three innings. He allowed six hits and three walks.
- Smith and Blanks each had three hits for the Bucs.Â
- Opie led the team with five RBI on the day.
