NOTEWORTHY:
- Pavlos Piperakis (1-0) picked up the win in the split game. He worked four innings, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out four.
- Ty Macera (0-1) allowed three runs on a hit and five walks in two innings to take the loss for the Blazers.
- Eight of the nine Buccaneer batters recorded hits, including three by Blanks and two each by Smith, Opie, Tralongo and Christian Perez.
- Seven Bucs had RBI, including three by Hatfield and two each for Blanks, Smith, Opie, Perez and Santiago.
- Charlie Banks led Valdosta State with three hits and two RBI.
