MIAMI SHORES, Fla.— Jannelle Iaquinto resigned as associate director of athletics/SWA to take the job of director of athletics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Ariz., director of athletics Dr. Scott Smith announced today. She will continue working with the Buccaneers, in-person and remotely, until taking over with the Eagles on Feb. 23.

Iaquinto joined the Buccaneers as assistant softball coach in the fall of 2021, was promoted to assistant AD for compliance and operations in the summer of 2022 and to associate director of athletics for student-athlete wellness, compliance and operations. She has served as the department's senior woman administrator since 2022.

Iaquinto oversaw the department's athletic training, strength and conditioning, and wellness initiatives.  She also worked with departmental operations, compliance, sport supervision, and the student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC).

"While I'm excited about this next step in my career, it is incredibly difficult to leave Barry," Iaquinto said. "These past five years have meant the world to me, and I am so deeply grateful for the friendships, support, and work we've shared. It has been a true privilege to serve our student-athletes alongside all my great colleagues every day."

In addition to her one season with the Buccaneers in The Shores, she coached at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, Marist College in New York, and Merrimack College, Suffolk University, Emerson College and Lesley University all in Massachusetts.

"[Barry] is truly a special place and people like you are what make it that way," head men's basketball coach Justin Furr said. "Your work here with our program has displayed your commitment to success and finding ways to make things possible instead of reasons why things can't be done."

Iaquinto earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Sienna in 2007 and a master's in communications and integrated marketing from Marist in 2017.
