TAMPA, Fla. – In an eventful Saturday afternoon, Barry split the softball double-header against fifth-ranked Tampa to close out regular season play. With the 4-3 win in the first game of the day, head coach
Sean Cotter earned his 600th career NCAA victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME ONE):
- T1 | Barry jumped out in front in the first inning scoring their first run of the Sunshine State series. Caroline Figueroa drove in Sarah Langlie with her double to left field. I Barry 1, Tampa 0
- T2 | More offense came in the top of the second that would prove to be the difference maker. Back-to-back singles from Mac Stone-Folmar and Mya Tucker put early base runners on with one away. Brooklyn Rushton than hit a sacrifice bunt to put them in scoring position. Harper Bunn hen delivered the big hit with a double down the left field line to bring them both around to score. Becka Mellor then does what she does best and hit her SSC leading seventh triple of the seasonn to bring in Bunn. | Barry 4, Tampa 0
- B3 | Tampa cut their lead in half in the bottom of the third with a two-out rally. A two-run double from Russo put the Spartans on the board. | Barry 4, Tampa 2
- B5 | A walk came around to score off an error to bring it within onee, but that would be the only damage done. | Barry 4, Tampa 3
NOTEWORTHY (GAME ONE):
- Becka Mellor's seventh triple puts her at second-most in a single season, one shy of tying the record.
- The two doubles now has the Bucs with 82 on the year, the third most in a single season.
- Haelee Angelico earned her eighth win, going four innings allowing two earned runs with four hits and two punch outs.
- Alexis Martin came in and collected the save and retired the final eight batters faced in order.
- This is the Bucs sixth win against a ranked opponent this year.
- It is the first 20-win season in conference play since 2003.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME TWO):
- B3 | A one-out single delivered Tampa's first two runs in the bottom of the third. I Tampa 2, Barry 0
- B5 | The Spartans scratched for a run in the bottom of the fifth as he runner came in via a passed ball. | Tampa 3, Barry 0
- T6 | Barry had three straight singles to open the top frame of the sixth to load the bases. Chandler Barry came in to pinch hit and delivered an RBI off the hit by pitch. Tampa was able to escape the inning witth a flyout to center and a line out to second. | Tampa 3, Barry 1
