HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Buccaneers quickly won the doubles point. Alloiarova and Lutringer shutout Barth and Zirkle 6-0 at the bottom flight.
- At the second flight, Barry's #45 Dema and Tatarnikova clinched the point 6-3 over Pallencaoe and Valencia.
- The final match remained unfinished with the Bucs up 5-2.
- Needing just three singles victories to complete the win, Barry won five of six first sets.
- At #6 singles, Crespo quickly steam-rolled Zirkle 6-0, 6-1.
- At the fourth flight, #52 Alloiarova made it 3-0 with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Valencia.
- Twenty-second ranked Di Palma survived a roller-coaster match with Brady at the third flight, winning 6-1, 0-6, 6-1 to clinch the match.
- The other three matches went unfinished, with Leweurs the only Buc up a set and up in the second.
NOTEWORTHY:
- For Barry, it is their eighth time in a row to advance to the NCAA semifinals and the 17th time overall.
- Barry has won eight national championships, including six in a row from 2017-2023, both figures the best in NCAA D-II history.
- It was the first meeting with the Sea Lions.
- Alloiarova won her 20th singles match of the year, tops on the team.
