PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The third-seeded Barry Buccaneers closed out the sixth-seeded Florida Southern Moccasins in 11 minutes on Saturday morning, after their semifinal match was suspended due to weather at the NCAA South Region 2 Tournament at the Skeeter Carson Tennis Center on Friday. The Bucs quickly won at singles courts one and five to clinch the 4-0 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barry secured the doubles by winning at the second and third flights. At the third flight, Riccardo Trione and Yan Kodjoed defeated Mehmet Turgut and George Russell 6-1. Gabriele Felline and Tim Riedel defeated Sam Frizelle and Matthew Hewitt 6-2 at #2 to clinch the point.
- In singles, #33 Kodjoed made short work of #41 Mario Garoz 6-3, 6-4 at the third flight.
- The rest of the matches were suspended due to weather on Friday, with Barry holding a one-set edge at all five courts.
- As the matches resumed on Saturday morning, Trione closed out Frizelle 6-1, 6-3 at the top flight.
- Moments later, Adam Lynch clinched the match for the Bucs with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Hewitt at #5.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry will take on the winner of the #2 West Florida/#7 Mississippi College match in the regional final.
- Barry lost to the host Argonauts 4-3 in the semifinals of the ITA Indoor Championship in February and beat the Choctaws 5-2 in Orlando in March.
