MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry Buccaneers returned to softball action on Buccaneer Field on Thursday afternoon after so much needed rest taking a 12-day hiatus. Early offense secured the win for the Bucs as they enter their final home series of the season. The matchup featured Sunshine State Conference opponent, Palm Beach Atlantic.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- T1 | A leadoff walk to start the game would come around and score for the Sailfish off a groound out. This gave PBA their first and oly lead of the game. | PBA 1, Barry 0
- B1 | Harper Bunn helped get the offense going in a hurry, doubling down the left field line to start the inning. Mya Tucker mover her over with a sacrifice bunt. Sarah Langlie sent one to straight away center to bring home Bunn. Four more singles followed with Caroline Figueroa, Sofia Chamorro, Becka Mellor, and Mac Stone-Folmar joining in on the party. Langlie, Figueroa, and Chamorro all came around to score on the hit parade. | Barry 4, PBA 1
- B3 | Chamorro kept the offense going with a double down the right field line to start the botttom of the third. Mellor would follow behind with a walk. Stone-Folmar hit a deep fly ball to center field that moved the runners up a base and would score them both as the third baseman sailed the ball to the outfield. | Barry 6, PBA 1
- T4 | The Sailfish would scratch for a run but that would be the end of their produciton, scoring on a bases-loaded wild pitch. | Barry 6, PBA 2
NOTEWORTHY:
- Seven of the nine starters recorded a hit.
- Langle, Chamorro, and Brooklyn Rushton all collected a multi-hit game at two-a-piece.
- Mellor scored or drove in half of the runs.
- The bullpen came in and shutdown the final four innings, allowing just two-hits.
- Isabel Vera Martineez picked up her seventh win on the season.

The Bucs will close out their final SSC home series with a double-header on Friday, April 18 against PBA. First game is set to start at 4:00 p.m.
