DAVENPORT, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers swamped the Roosevelt Lakers 9-3 in the Russ Matt Baseball Classic on Friday from Northeast Regional Park near Orlando, Fla.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Dylan Peck (1-1) worked a complete-game to get the win for the Bucs. He allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits, but did not walk a batter and struck out eight.Â
- It was the first complete game for the Bucs this year and the first since Aiden Denton went the distance against Post in a 5-2 win on Mar. 10, 2024.
- Foran went five innings for the Lakers, allowing seven runs on seven hits, including three homers to take the loss. He walked one and struck out four.
- Noriega was 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs and two RBI for Barry.
- Turner was 2-for-5 with a homer and drove in three.
- Zac Rice had his first two-hit game of the season.
- Diaz and Delgado each drove in two runs.
- Ogawa and Andrew Lucas each had two hits to lead the Lakers.
